Getting To Waiheke Island

Our tour company is based on Waiheke Island, so you will need to make your way across to Waiheke Island to meet up with our guide. There are several ferry options.

Fullers Ferries to Matiatia Wharf 

Waiheke Walk-Up Service - $56 pp online or $59 on the day.

This ferry is boarded on a first come first serve basis so it's recommended that you arrive to the ferry terminal nice an early (up to 1 hour) prior to the ferry you wish to catch in the busy summer months/ public holidays/weekends.

This boat departs from Pier 11 or 12 - 99 Quay St. 

Waiheke Reserve Service $95 pp 

This is a booked seat option departing from Pier 13 

Currently Departing Auckland at 9am and 11am.

Returning from Waiheke at 4pm and 6pm

$50 pp - Bookable Seat 

This is a smaller locally owned boat company departing from Pier 13 

 

Sealink Ferries to Kennedy Point Wharf

Prices can vary. This boat departs from Halfmoon Bay which is approximately a 20 min drive from the central city. It is primarily a vehicle ferry but does take foot passengers It's an alternative option if you are traveling from the Eastern Suburbs or South of Auckland and do not wish to go all the way into the central City.

If you have purchased ferry tickets as part of your booking, we will email you an e ticket prior to travel so you can use this to board on the day. 

 

The ferry to Waiheke takes 35-45 minutes. When the ferry arrives at Matiatia (the Waiheke Wharf) our Ananda Tours Driver will meet you with a sign welcoming you.

If you do arrive on an earlier ferry there is a cafe on the wharf where you can have a coffee and bite to eat, or go for a short stroll and return to the wharf area at the meeting time to find your guide for the day.

Auckland Sea Shuttles 

Auckland Sea Shuttles offers a professional water taxi service in the Hauraki Gulf. Suitable for small groups, this option can depart from the Auckland CBD and takes around 40 mins to come across to Matiatia Wharf.

Fly across to Waiheke in a fixed-wing plane from Ardmore to Waiheke and take in the breathtaking scenery from above. Flight takes around 35 mins and lands at Reeves Airfield on Waiheke Island.

Flight directly from Auckland airport, Auckland CBD or the North shore across to Waiheke in 12-15 mins, landing at Reeves Airfield on Waiheke or directly at one of the vineyard restaurants. This option is suitable for couples or small to medium size groups.

Perfect for medium size groups. Cruise over and enjoy your time on the harbour with a licenced bar onboard. Travel time around 1.15 hours from Auckland Viaduct Harbour to Matiatia Wharf.
