Two Day Tour Itineraries
For Those Who Want It All - $525 pp
Day1: Be picked up from the ferry or your accommodation for a day of gourmet treats and wine followed by a delicious platter lunch at a vineyard on our Gourmet Food and Wine Tour. The tour finishes at 3pm, so plenty of time to go to the beach, or explore the local shops and go out to dinner at one of our local restaurants.
Day 2: Have the morning at your leisure. If it’s a Saturday you might like to explore the Ostend Market which is open every Saturday 7:30am–1:00pm. 76 Ostend Rd, Ostend. Nearby is Island Coffee where you can get a great cup of coffee and locally made pastries. Around midday we will pick you up from your accommodation to join our Afternoon Artisan Tour and travel down the far Eastern End of Waiheke to explore some of the “off the beaten track” venues. This end of the Island is rugged and beautiful with plenty of history. Visit a Craft Brewery/winery before heading for a vineyard lunch and tasting, before finishing with a boutique gin tasting and gin cocktail at Waiheke Distillery. Ask our diver if you would like to be dropped off at a dinner venue or back to your accommodation to relax.
For The Relaxed Food and Wine Lovers - $455 pp
Day 1: Arrive on the Island, and check into your accommodation before heading out with us on our Half Day Scenic Wine and Lunch Tour for a relaxing introduction to the Island. Finish up with dinner at Mudbrick/Cable Bay if you wish or back to your accommodation.
Day 2: Be picked up from your accommodation for a day of gourmet treats and wine followed by a delicious platter lunch at a vineyard on our Gourmet Food and Wine Tour. Afterwards be dropped off back at your accommodation or back to the ferry.
For the Adventurous: - $764 pp
Day1: Take part in our Zip Wine Dine Combo. Start the day with an exhilarating Zip Line through native bush with EcoZip Adventures before taking part in a guided bush walk back through the bush. Once finished you join the group at the first stop of our Half Day Scenic Wine and Lunch Tour, visiting several of the Islands popular vineyards. The tour finishes around 6pm so our driver can drop you off at a dinner venue or back to your accommodation to rest up for more adventure tomorrow.
Day 2: Be picked up for your Privately Guided Tour of the Eastern end of Waiheke. Start with a visit to the Fort Stonybatter. These tunnels were built in WWII and Commissioned in 1942 under absolute secrecy, the complex comprises 1.2km’s of subterranean passages, chambers and stairwells all tunnelled by hand. The fortress was designed to take direct enemy bombardment and is in a very high state of preservation. Be guided through these tunnels and learn about some of the incredible history hidden beneath the ground. Afterwards head to the iconic Man O' War vineyard. Man O’ War’s winery tasting room is the only one on Waiheke that’s on the water and New Zealand’s only beachfront tasting experience. Here taste the wine and enjoy lunch at your own expense. After lunch, choose from either a gin tasting at Waiheke Distillery or a wine tasting at Passage Rock Vineyard before returning to your accommodation around 4.30 pm
